A long stay in hospital can be lonely and isolating

A long stay in hospital can be lonely and isolating, particularly when no visitors or siblings are allowed on the ward and all the wonderful RCH programs are closed. Fortunately the hospital is surrounded by lovely parklands and Luca has wonderful classmates who created beautiful cards which were hand delivered to him and a caring teacher who visited him on the weekend. Today Luca had a chance to say thank you in person. He is now medically stable and has day leave so can attend school for the last 4 days of term.
