This is the machine

This is the machine (minus the tubing) that will be taking over the job of Luca’s kidneys whilst we find a kidney for him. It’s called a “cycler” and Luca will be connected to it whilst it infuses the PD solution through a tubing set overnight. It fills and drains the peritoneal cavity automatically while Luca is sleeping.

This process is called Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (APD)
